Overview
Matt has been married to his wife Stacie for over 20 years and has two sons, Colin and Carter. He currently serves on the YMCA board, Marshall University NIL board and is the current president of the St. Jospeh Central High School Advisory Board. He has coached both sons in various sports and has been very active with respect to local charities and civic organizations in the Tri-State. Prior to entering private practice with his father, Matt served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge O’Hanlon and served Cabell County as a Fiduciary Commissioner.
Matt has dedicated his over 17 years of private practice toward helping injured victims. Weather it be an automobile accident, motorcycle accident or an injury resulting from any form of negligent conduct, Matt has zealously advocated for thousands of people facing adversity. He has represented the severely injured and obtained large monetary awards from major manufacturing corporations. He has been involved in a multitude of class actions in which significant monetary awards were awarded. On a local level, he and his father represented 100’s of claimants in a complex chemical spill case here in West Virginia in which millions were obtained for individuals affected. Matt was also co-counsel in the recent opioid litigation representing Cabell and Fayette Counties against the major drug manufacturers and distributors that polluted our state with addition and despair.
