Michael Woelfel

Michael Woelfel Attorney at Law

Michael Woelfel is from Huntington, West Virginia and attended Marshall University for undergraduate studies followed by earning his Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University. Michael served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Cabell County subsequent to graduation. Michael was then appointed, on a part-time basis, to a juvenile judicial office for the Supreme Court of Appeals.

Michael has concentrated his practice on personal injury litigation including chemical exposure, wrongful death, medical malpractice and severe automobile, tractor trailer and heavy machinery accidents. Michael also has experience with mass tort litigation. The firm obtained compensation for approximately 200 individuals who were exposed to dangerous chemicals in 2004.

Michael takes great satisfaction in the monies he has obtained for hundreds of clients over his three decades of practice. Michael has served on numerous boards and commissions over his years of practice and is very conscious of the importance of community service.

Matthew Woelfel

Matthew Woelfel Attorney at Law

Matthew James Woelfel is from Huntington, West Virginia and attended St. Josephs High School and New Hampton Preparatory Academy. Matthew received an undergraduate degree in History from Marshall University and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. Prior to joining his father’s law practice, Matthew was employed by the Supreme Court of Appeals as a law clerk assigned to the Honorable Judge Dan O’Hanlon in the 6th Judicial Circuit. In 2007, Matthew was appointed Fiduciary Commissioner of Cabell County and presides over hearings regarding estate matters. Matthew is an active member of his community and sits on various boards throughout the tri-state area.

Matthew has experience in handling chemical exposure, wrongful death, workplace discrimination, medical malpractice and motor vehicle accident cases.

Matthew is married to formerly Stacie Lynn Davis and they have two children, Colin and Carter.
